I worked with Damian last year and it was a fantastic experience. Totally worth it, and here's why: Damian is a fantastic coach in that he provides structure around your goals and how to get there, and he works with you to figure all that out. He’s like half-coach/half-consultant. I suppose that many other coaches do the same, but Damian’s program has a lot more substance and accountability built-in than others I've worked with. What I really like about working with him is that he marries the business with the personal. He looks at ALL areas of your life because, of course, one impacts the other, empowers the other, or ruins the other! Not only is Damian helping me through a huge transition in my biz (of which I’m about a third of the way through so I can say that his program is working) but sometimes we also talk about things to do with family and friends – those other parts of my life, and my goals are both personal and professional. That’s meaningful to me. I have worked with three coaches. One was a waste of money, the next was great but it was done in a class setting so a bit different, and Damian. Thank you for an incredible day of intensive, jam-packed, hands-on, usable information that was fun, easy to follow, and interactive! I have dreaded Business plans as a young, creative entrepreneur and it simply isn't a good idea to not have a plan. This gave me a forecast for my future and now I can see that my structure I've put in place is really a very feasible and profitable Business Model! Words can't describe how privileged I feel to have been a part of something so innovative and truly effective for entrepreneurs.
My experience of being an entrepreneur was a bit chaotic with no direction. I made poor financial decisions in building my business. At times, it was embarrassing and demoralizing. After having worked with Damian, the biggest difference was with my mindset and creating a plan based on my core values. When I felt any doubts or setbacks, I returned to my core values as a reminder and a way to get myself back on track. It was life-changing! It also helped me to remember why I was an entrepreneur. Gone is the feeling of aimless wandering in my pursuit of having and growing a business. Now, I am hopeful, empowered, and in control. I make decisions that are active, not reactive. I hit my monthly goals and take serious action if I don't know how that will happen by the end of the previous month. Within 6 months, I was able to see a 10x increase in my revenue! This was a first EVER! I now know I can be a successful entrepreneur, especially as a single mother.
Before working with Damian I was scared to solicit business. As an entrepreneur just starting out, I was very good at what I did but was fearful of soliciting business as I was resisting being a “pushy salesperson.” Through coaching, I realize that people need to know what I can do to support them and they hear me as an opportunity. My business has grown so much in a very short period of time!
Before I started my session with Damian, I felt like I couldn't see a clear path for myself in my career, like all my emotions were bottled up. Damian coached me to see how the different areas in my life have an impact on my success and which areas have potential blocks I need to work on or change. It gave me the power to know everything is good with myself and that I can choose to work on my environment and relationships to improve the quality of my life. This week I got an audition for a great acting role and at the same time the connection with a potential agent in Toronto!! Thank you, Damian, you are part of this new level of freedom!
In the beginning, I felt overwhelmed, I didn’t know where to begin. I wanted to just do my craft but I didn’t know the ins and outs of building a viable successful business. My practice was on its way to being more like a hobby than a successful business. Damian gave me the structure I needed. I created a vision, a business plan, and actionable tasks to achieve what was next. Damian has also been fundamental in having me be more visible in my career and leading to me speaking on stages. I was really wanting to find the kind of support that matched the support I gave to others and Damian proved to be exactly what I was looking for. During our session, we worked on how to price my services. Before that, I was just throwing things on the wall to see what was going to stick. I did not feel comfortable with this process because I knew I would not be able to defend it and I did not feel confident that it equaled my value. Not only did I learn the right way to price my services, but the experience of my mindset shift was also invaluable. Before this workshop I hated planning for the future, never had a business plan before & never had a bucket list. What I loved about the VIP day was the ease and clarity with which I created plans not only for my business but also for my life. As a result not only did I meet my increased sales goals for the first quarter, I also crossed off 2 exciting personal items, learning to play the piano (wanted since I was a kid) and getting engaged!! The biggest thing for me was getting rid of the sludge! So that I can create from a clean slate! If I break it down into sizeable chunks my goals are possible! Before this workshop, I had the experience of being stuck. Like the things I wanted were far into the future and would need a lot of work. Writing my 2030 story than working out the financial structure to support it - plus having a group of amazing people to hold me big - makes it tangible! I’m busier than ever but I am living a full life and I value how my time is spent so it’s productive and fulfilling. I have a plan for a business that was only a pipe dream weeks ago. My future is now an exciting adventure that continues to unfold.
